| Howdy folks! I'm baaack. Happy New Year to all! My resolution (I know it's a little late for this but I thought I'd give it a shot) is to be more positive in 2008. When you're at work, things tend to move at warp speed really. You don't notice it's January 2008 and you're on your second year until it hits you like a ton of bricks one morning at 4 am while you're driving home in the cold alone. I wonder when this "quarter life crisis" will finally end for me and when I'll finally figure out what it's all about. I used to be impatient and I still am a little. But don't you think I've paid my dues? I'm ready for my life to be tons better! The updates in my life up to this point... hmmm. I currently have the flu. I was sick only two weeks ago. This whole not sleeping / cold weather thing is not helping me recover any faster. Work is still going strong, even though the markets are down the crapper. Everyone is a little skittish but deals are still getting done - there's still money to be made out there. No one cares if you're scurred. The question du jour is if I can / want to stay in this past my second year. Almost everyone I know has already left for buyside. I'm trying to evaluate if that's something I really want to do or not. We'll see... anyone with some insight out there, I'm all ears. |

| I suppose there are things to be grateful for. I hung on by the skin of my teeth. http://www.cnbc.com/id/21252943 17% gone in the blink of an eye. Tomorrow we find out what the result of the cuts were. Stay tuned. |

Hooray - get to try it out on Saturday! Wow, so it's been over a month since I've posted on xanga - bad Ruth! I spent last weekend in New York and seeing good friends. Miss the City and miss the people there but it also makes me realize how much I love home. Didn't do anything at all except walk around the city, see people and spend over $200 on cab fare. Thanks to Teresa, I constantly dream about fro-yo from Bloomingdale's. This weekend we celebrated Taps and Bri's 23rd and 24th birthday at Fogo with a HUGE cake from the Dessert Gallery. I never want to eat a chocolate cake like that ever again - the thing weighed a good 5 lbs. This weekend and last made me kind of remember what it was like to have a normal life and normal relationships with people and how much I miss that. I miss my family, friends and good fun. The second year is looking better than the first. Who knows what next year will bring but I'm ready! |

| I know I'm way behind in the times...
But I think I can safely say that the "Spartan" costume will be the most popular costume for guys this Halloween
